Residential Delivery
With most residential deliveries we will call a residence to coordinate a delivery time ensuring that someone will be home to accept the Gift. If no one answers we leave a message with a callback number and we will usually not proceed until contact is made, which can result in the delivery being later than scheduled. Consequently it is important that the correct phone number for the recipient (Cell Phone) or residence land line be provided. We encourage customers to include a backup number, which can be noted in the customer comments section of the online order form.
If a phone number is not available, delivery will be attempted. If no one is available to accept the delivery, the gift will be left at the Residence, if there is a safe and hidden location, which makes this possible, or weather allows. If it is not practical to leave the gift a door tag will be left on the door advising the recipient a delivery was attempted, and providing a Number to reach A Warm Wish. The Gift will be delivered when the recipient is in touch with us.
Hotel Delivery
Hotel deliveries for guests are usually left with the Bell desk or concierge of the hotel. We are not allowed to deliver gifts to the rooms themselves. If the guest has not checked in yet, the bell desk will leave a message with the front desk for them. If they are already checked in, the Bell desk will call the room to arrange pickup or delivery, which ever the guest desires. Some hotels charge a three-dollar Bell fee to deliver a gift to the recipient’s room. We can add this to your Invoice and when the guest is contacted they will deliver the gift. Most rooms are assigned when the guest checks in. The Hotel cannot deliver the gift to the room with out permission from the guest, therefore a Gift usually cannot be waiting in a Guest’s room upon arrival.
