Welcome to A Warm Wish

It's January!  The holidays have passed, with their flurry, and now is the time that we re-evaluate and set goals for the new year.  I love this time of year.  It's the time of fresh starts.  Here at A Warm Wish we are getting ready to head to the Fancy Food Show in San Diego to check out all the new gourmet foods.  There will be a section devoted to organic foods this year, which is very exciting!  We are also heading to the California Gift Show and the LA Gift Mart this month to find creative new non edible gift items.  Walking the Mart always gets our creative juices flowing, so watch for great new unique gifts appearing on our web site in the next few months.  Finally we end our show trips right here at home in Las Vegas with the Las Vegas Market.  The huge World Market Center here in Las Vegas continues to grow with furniture and decorative accessory stores.   We will look for unique containers that will be great additions to any home as well as beautiful decorative accessories to add to our line!

Of course we are getting ready for Valentines Day with Romantic gifts for that special someone in your life, and Chinese New Year is right around the corner.  And we have added a wonderful new baby gift, check out the information below on the baby Bunch. We look forward to a terrific year in 2008 and wish all of you health, happiness and success in this new year!

Connecting People Through Gifting

One of the largest single organisms on the planet is a grove of Aspen trees  in  Colorado.  The entire group's root system is a single system.  Roots lying underneath the surface connecting thousands of trees, is a signal organism.  Kind of symbolic?  As humans we are all connected.  Gift giving is a means of strengthening those connections.  It's a symbolic gesture, a physical manifestation of feelings of joy, gratitude, or sorrow shared.  It is a very personal way of connecting us in relationships both business and personal.  A root system,  a network of people and relationships.

Connecting with future and past business relationships, family & Friends is being revitalized in 2008. Connecting with new people and creating the Human Contact that has been missing is our Mission for 2008. Our new Gifting Tips page will have New Articles for Gift Giving and Etiquette for giving Gifts for every occasion including Holidays, Shiva Gifts, Special Occasions, Chinese New Year, Business Giving Tips, and other ways you can keep in contact and build prosperous and fulfilling Business and Personal Relationships.

Gifting 101 - Gift Giving Etiquette

The process of giving a gift is quite simple but there’s often a great deal of stress involved  if the gift giver isn't sure of the proper “etiquette” involved.   We want our clients, employees and associates to know how important they are to us and we want to do something nice for them, but what is appropriate and more importantly what could be considered inappropriate?  Sometimes we will forgo giving gifts entirely for fear of damaging a relationship with a misconstrued gesture,  once we know the rules this is no longer necessary and we can reap the rewards of our generosity.

To avoid a gift being viewed as a bribe or with other unsavory connotations never give a gift during negotiations.  It's perfectly acceptable offer to give gifts to show appreciation, apologize, cement friendships and/or business relationships or to congratulate someone.  Just make sure the gift isn't too miserly or too extravagant.  Both will damage your image and your relationships.  Being to Misery shows that you really don't care about the other person, Being too extravagant  implies that you may expect more from the relationship that is being offered.

Once you decide on a budget for the gift, make sure it  is something  the person would enjoy, never give a gift simply because you like it.  With business gifts don't give a gift merely because your company logos on it.  Items with your logo might be wonderful for you but think of what the recipient will do with it.  Do you routinely display other companies logos in your home or office?  Always use logo’s with  a great deal of discretion so your  gift doesn't come across as an ad.  Anything you give a client associate or employee represents yourself and your company make sure it's of the highest quality in the best taste if you do you gifts will always be appreciated and you'll enjoy the benefits of your efforts.

We have wonderful shortbreads from McDuffies in New York and a variety of unique flavors of teas from Revolutions Tea Company.Relaxing seems to be something we all have less and less time to do. Sending a bath or spa gift is sending a little encouragement to someone to take time to pamper themselves. Choose one of our elegant spa gifts in a wooden tray with wonderful bath gels and lotions plus great accessories like loofahs and back rollers, sparkling waters and candles. Dressed with silk flowers, these elegant gifts give them the day spa experience at home. While any of our gifts would make a great birthday gift, depending on what the person you are sending it to likes, we have our favorite…”Paint the town Red” is a paint can with a label that says “It’s your birthday, paint the town red!”!
